Johnson John

Chief Executive Officer

Johnson John is the Principal of Callidus Consulting (MENA) and a recognised leader in insurance, reinsurance, and regulatory advisory. With over two decades of experience spanning the Middle East and international markets, he has guided insurers, reinsurers, MGAs, and intermediaries through authorisation, governance, and compliance transformation initiatives. His insight and leadership have been instrumental in establishing Callidus as a trusted advisor for regulated entities worldwide. Johnson’s philosophy combines technical excellence with practical execution — ensuring that every client engagement is driven by clarity, accountability, and measurable impact.

Michael Glover

Non Executive Director

Michael Glover has accumulated nearly 30 years of experience in London, Lloyd’s, and international insurance markets. He began his career at Lloyd’s Regulatory, where he served within the Council Secretariat and the Regulatory Division’s Authorisations Department. In 1997, he joined ACE European Group, where one of his key achievements was successfully leading the merger of approximately 16 syndicates, consolidating four Lloyd’s Managing Agencies, and securing full (100%) participation on Syndicate 2488. Following his tenure at ACE and a period at Wellington, Michael founded Callidus in 2004. Since then, he has consistently expanded the firm, providing practical and effective compliance solutions to a broad portfolio of clients across the insurance and financial services sectors.

Shankar Majrekar

Non Executive Director

Shankar Majrekar is a Chartered Accountant with extensive experience across Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, London, and other international markets. He brings strong expertise in general management, financial planning and analysis, taxation, investment management, as well as management accounting, reporting, and budget control. During his tenure as a Manager at KPMG, Shankar gained substantial exposure to designing and implementing financial and accounting systems and procedures, strengthening internal controls and enhancing management reporting across a wide range of industries.

Jo Marshall

Associate Director

Jo Marshall is Associate Director at Callidus and brings nearly over two decades of experience in insurance and financial-services law. Before joining Callidus, she served as General Counsel for three Lloyd’s managing agencies, where she built and restructured legal, compliance, and company-secretarial teams and led major governance reforms. Earlier in her career, Jo spent a decade in private practice with leading international law firms, specialising in insurance litigation for global (re)insurers. At Callidus, she draws on this combined private-practice and in-house expertise to advise clients on complex regulatory, governance, and remediation projects. She also acts as compliance officer, MLRO, and data-protection officer for a portfolio of UK-based clients, ensuring their frameworks remain robust, compliant, and commercially aligned.

Sanchana Muralidhar

Senior Operations Manager

Sanchana Muralidhar is the Operations, Compliance Officer and MLRO at Callidus Consulting (MENA). She has over 11 years of specialised experience in financial crime compliance and regulatory oversight within DFSA-authorised environments. Prior to her current role, Sanchana built robust compliance frameworks and led remedial programmes to assure regulatory alignment and operational integrity. At Callidus, she oversees end-to-end compliance operations, governance processes and AML monitoring systems, working with insurers, reinsurers and intermediaries to embed effective control cultures and responsive reporting. Her pragmatic yet rigorous approach ensures clients navigate regulatory change with confidence and maintain strong governance standards.

Sagar Bhuta

Finance Manager

With over a decade of experience in finance, audit and regulatory reporting, Sagar leads the finance and accounts function at Callidus Consulting. As a qualified Chartered Accountant, he plays a key role in aligning internal financial systems with the regulatory expectations of the DIFC and DFSA. His expertise spans DFSA regulatory returns, VAT filings, financial projections and capital adequacy assessments, making him a trusted point of contact for both internal teams and clients. His sharp analytical skills make him instrumental in keeping the firm’s financial operations both compliant and forward-looking.

Sirhan Bin Md. Abdul Wahab

Senior Compliance Consultant

Sirhan Wahab is a senior Compliance Consultant at Callidus Consulting (DIFC) Limited, where he serves as the appointed outsourced Compliance Officer, MLRO, and Data Protection Officer for a portfolio of regulated clients. With over two decades of experience in regulatory compliance, AML/CFT, and structured finance, he advises insurers, reinsurers, and financial institutions across the UAE, Southeast Asia, and the MENA region. His career spans DFSA-regulated firms, Malaysian and GCC financial institutions, as well as government-related entities. Sirhan brings extensive expertise in cross-border compliance, Islamic finance, and regulatory advisory under DFSA, CBUAE, and Malaysian frameworks.

Melissa D’Souza

Senior Manager, Licensing

As Senior Manager – Licensing, Melissa Dsouza drives the firm’s entity setup and licensing function across the DIFC. She has led numerous client onboarding projects, coordinated regulatory submissions, and provided strategic support to new market entrants. With a strong foundation in compliance, financial reporting, and tax analysis, Melissa combines technical insight with a hands-on approach to regulatory problem-solving.
